T-Mobile, Orange, Telefonica and TIM together unveiled an alliance called FreeMove, together under this new joint brand they will roll out shared services to customers. FreeMove has plans to take on Vodafone to offer lower service costs and wider network coverage.

The joint brand has already saved them 10% on a deal with Motorola and Siemens to purchase 6 million phones.

The group intends to focus initially on multinational corporate customers, a market which spent more than four billion euro on mobile phone services last year. Seamless access to services including voicemail, caller ID and picture messaging across five countries will be set forth.

This is the second alliance of this nature in the European mobile market.
