iRiver has announced a new media player, the iMP-1100. With the shape of a disc-man the successor of the iMP-1000 adds a 2″ TFT Colour Display and DivX, MPEG4, MP3, WMA, ASF and CD-DA support. This is not a huge screen to watch movies on, but being able to play them from CD will be a first for portable media players.

The player is scheduled to release anytime from May to June 2004 with a price around $300 USD.
