From the Big Screen To the Small Screen

Wireless entertainment publisher JAMDAT Mobile today announced that it has launched a suite of New Line Cinema’s “The Lord of the Rings(TM): The Return of the King” entertainment applications for wireless. The lead product is an adventure game that captures the thrill of the movie through side-scrolling fighting and fierce battles through eight levels. Additionally, players open chests, replenish ammo, pick up extra lives and use items to regain health. The game includes the major movie characters Aragorn, Frodo, Gandalf, Gimli, Legolas, Pippin and Sam who battle Orcs, Uruk-hai, Trolls, The Army of the Dead, Shelob and other foes.

“We’ve created an exceptional suite of `The Lord of the Rings(TM)’ games though our partnership with New Line Cinema,” said Mitch Lasky, CEO of JAMDAT Mobile Inc. “From the character likenesses, to graphics, sound and the networked scoring feature, players will enjoy the thrill of `The Lord of the Rings(TM)’ game anytime, anywhere.”

The Lord of the Rings(TM) Trivia

Enables players to answer more than 360 multiple choice trivia questions and put their Middle-earth smarts to the test. Trivia covers characters, objects and locations and more from all three chapters of the trilogy. Unique features include sound and vibration feedback and a personal scorecard that lets the player know how much they really know.

The Lord of the Rings(TM) Pinball

Fast-action pinball wrapped in with “The Lord of the Rings(TM)” theme. Players must lead Frodo and Sam across two challenging tables on their quest to destroy The One Ring. The game features classic pinball gameplay that includes realistic physics and middle-earth themed bumpers, spinners, and switches.

The Lord of the Rings(TM) Wallpapers

Users can download and view “The Lord of the Rings(TM)” images that include characters, locations, scenes, and maps.

The Lord of the Rings(TM) Tones Player

Users can download, play and save ring tones of the music from the “The Lord of the Rings(TM)” trilogy.

JAMDAT’s suite of “The Lord of the Rings(TM)” games are available now on Verizon Wireless’ Get it Now(SM) service.
