Archos today published the new AV300 Series OS upgrade, version 2.0.00, that was announced at the begining of the month. Some new significant features are; The AVI editor now allows you to edit files recorded on the AV300 (with DVR and CAM300). AVI files can now contain PCM or IMA ADPCM audio data. WMA Files are now supported (no DRM). MP3 encoding can now be done in 192kbit/s CBR for sample rates of 32, 44.1 and 48kHz.

Remote FM control module, Display mode now allows choice for external TV display in Progressive or Interlaced. This improves JPEG display on televisions when set to progressive. Video playback now has slow motion modes (with sound muted) 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 and normal speed. New fast forward/rewind mechanism, will mute and go very fast now.
