Nintendo’s Game Boy Advance hand-held machine now works as a videophone in Japan. Campho Advance from Kyoto-based Digital Act Co, turns the device into a digital camera with earphone and microphone.
Simply plug it into the top of the Game Boy Advance just like any other video-game cassette.
Campho Advance, which goes on sale in December, requires no internet service provider.
Digital Act developers have a broadband device in the works, unfortunatly there are no plans to sell the product overseas, company spokesman Kazuhisa Saito said today.
