Fuji Photo Film Co. has developed a digital camera prototype that uses wireless local area networks to allow easier access to printers and personal computers.
The prototype was displayed Wednesday at the Wireless Japan 2003 exhibition for information technology business. It features 3 million pixels and a LAN card with a transmission capacity of 11 megabits per second.
With the wireless LAN access function, users can dispense with cable modem connections or memory card switches when transferring pictures to personal computers or using remote printers, Fuji Photo officials said.
