IOGEAR Launches World’s Thinnest USB Hub~ Introduces Pocket-Sized Hub for Mobile Connectivity

IOGEAR makes connecting USB devices while on the road easier than ever with the introduction of the thinnest USB hub on the market, MicroHub™.

The compact hub measures 9cm x 4cm x 1cm, smaller in size than a credit card, and weighs less than two ounces. The four-port MicroHub provides an easy solution for mobile users to plug in peripheral devices. The Mac and PC compatible product supports data transfer rates of up to 12 Mbps. It has a 2cm long built-in USB cable and cable management cord which tucks away when not in use. MicroHub has a street price of $14.95 and is now available from all major catalog resellers, online resellers and selected retail outlets.

“With roughly two-thirds of U.S. workers expected to be mobile by the end of 2006, users need simple tools like MicroHub to connect peripherals and USB devices while on the go,” said Miranda Su, vice president of sales and marketing at IOGEAR, Inc. “IOGEAR’s tiny hub makes working remotely easier and more affordable than ever before. It offers mobile connectivity that fits in your pocket.”

MicroHub (GUH174) supports Windows 98, 98SE, 2000, ME and XP systems, as well as Mac OS 8.6 or later. It offers Plug-n-Play and hot swappable capabilities and comes equipped with IOGEAR’s three-year limited warranty.
