The CS2015FM Informer by Crimestopper is one of those “Why didn’t they think of this before”: The Informer is a security device on display at CES that can remotely start your car from distances up to half a mile away. The five-button remote utilizes a two-way FM pager signal to achieve that distance. A car icon moves across the dot-matrix animated LCD display to confirm the vehicle’s engine has started. The LCD also allows you to check other aspects of your vehicle’s status: It will alert you if the hood or doors are opened.

Other features include unique paging alerts for engine start/stop, alarm/disarm, and zone violations. The CS2015FM also provides dual-stage shock protection, two auxiliary outputs, and keyless entry.
