Measuring just 28(W) x 50(H) x 87(D) mm and weighing only 98 grams (without rechargeable battery), the SV-AV10 is approximately the size of a mobile phone handset. This compactness makes it easy for users to carry the camera in a pocket or handbag. The SV-AV10 can store both still images (640 x 480 pixels) and MPEG-4 video data (320×240 pixels) on SD Memory Cards. It features a built-in flash that makes photography possible even in dark places, and also incorporates a voice recorder and an SD audio player with AAC (Advanced Audio Coding)-encoded music playback capabilities.
In addition to the new SV-AV10 camera, Matsushita Electric is also introducing the SV-P10, a new mobile printer with SD Memory Card capability. With the industry’s smallest and lightest body — at just 85 (W) x 30 (H) x 68 (D) mm with a weight of only 185 grams — and a rechargeable battery pack that can print up to 45 pictures with a single charge, the SV-P10 is both compact and versatile. For network readiness, the SV-P10 offers a USB terminal that makes possible the printing of images stored on a PC. Panasonic will release the SV-P10 in Japan on January 20. No suggested retail price has been set.
