Users can also customize the SD card to ship pre-installed with enterprise-specific applications and software to meet the unique needs of each customer, helping organizations expedite deployment.

In addition to the MobilePro P300’s expansion capabilities, the new NEC Pocket PC features a vibrant 3.8-inch TFT reflective front-lit display with support for more than 65,000 colors. The large, photo-realistic display is suited for viewing rich Internet content, crisp screen text and vivid streaming video in both outdoor and indoor environments. “When it comes to the corporate market, we’ve found that users require a more customized range of mobile features than today’s PDA devices can deliver. With this in mind, we designed a new class of corporate-focused Pocket PC,” said Larry Miller, vice president of marketing at NEC Computers Inc. “Using the MobilePro P300, mobile professionals are no longer bound by the limitations of typical PDA configurations, and can instead tailor the device to their individual needs and requirements.”
