Netvox PDA uses FLEX, IrDA

Netvox Technology Co. Ltd has developed a PDA that adopts the FLEX code format and IrDA message transmission.

The device incorporates a 32-bit CPU, 16M memory, handwriting recognition and touch screen with a stylus. It features six working groups, namely: news covering general news, road reports, weather updates, sports and entertainment; global finance with international stock market, international exchange rates, mutual fund rates and financial news; domestic stock market, including individual stocks, investment analysis and transaction reports; system, with paging setup and computer upload; personal organizer and miscellaneous tools.

The personal organizer comprises an address book, memo, agenda, paging, bookkeeping and e-mail. The miscellaneous tools include a calculator, a dictionary, an alarm clock, a converter and a calendar.

The PDA measures 104 by 69 by 22mm and weighs 155g. It runs on two AAA alkaline batteries. The monochrome LCD has 240 by 140 pixels and supports both English and Chinese displays.
