Toshiba 4 Megapixel PDR-M81

Toshiba today unveiled the new PDR-M81. This is the first 4.2 megapixel digital camera available to the consumer market. It uses the 1/1.8″ 4 megapixel CCD by Sharp. The camera outputs 2400 x 1600 image size. It has a Canon 2.8x optical zoom lens which supports Print Image Matching.

Multi-image mode lets you shoot 16 frames in one shot. The only draw back is that it only supports 128MB of SmartMedia.

Expected to be in stores August 2001 with a price tag around $629 USD.
