DDI Pocket to Market CompactFlash Card with Built-in Data Comm Function

Nitsuko Corp. has developed a CompactFlash card with a 64kbps data communication function, called C@rdH”64 petit (pronounced as card edge 64 petit), and dubbed the “CFE-01.”

It will be rolled out into the market by DDI Pocket Inc. on May 11.

It is a PIAFS2.2 version-based product. The format is employed by DDI Pocket.

DDI says, “By employing our uniquely developed flat antenna, we were able to achieve the world’s smallest and lightest product.” The PC card adapter comes as standard, and the card can be used not only on PDAs, but also on PCs.

Specifications of the 64kbps CompactFlash card with a built-in communication function (Model name: CFE-01) are as follows:

Size: About 51.0mm x 42.8mm x 5.0mm
Weight: About 16g
Antenna: Built-in
Power Supply Voltage: 3.3V
Control Command: Compliant with Hayes AT commands PCs (PC-AT compatible PCs with Windows 95/98SE/Me/2000, PDAs/Handheld PCs with Windows CE)
