Rio Volt Now Available

Rio, a division of SONICblueTM Incorporated, announced today that it has shipped the Rio Volt, the first portable CD player in the family of Rio digital audio players. The Rio Volt plays standard music CDs and recordable CDs containing MP3 and Windows Media Audio (WMA) files – making it possible to store and play more than 250 songs on a single CD.

“More people than ever are creating their own custom CDs from the music collections stored on their computers,” said Jim Cady, president of Rio. “As part of our commitment to provide portable players for the various ways people listen to music, the Rio Volt is ideal for people who enjoy creating personalized music CDs.”

The Rio Volt supports high-capacity, low cost recordable CDs as a way to store personalized music selections, yet remains as simple to use as a standard CD player. Other members of the Rio family of digital audio players include the Rio 600, Rio 800 and Nike psa[play 60 and 120.
